Paris and Frankfurt South to the Paris 'North station' on the bullet train at 200 mph. Our friend Marc picked us up. Snacks at La Duree. We drove by a few of the standards. The lights are a Y2K countdown. Well, it IS our honeymoon. Shopping at La Gallarie de Layfayette.  The perfume floor covered about two football fields. The mime was street entertainment. Time for a few more snacks, at La Gallerie. When in Paris... This was the view from the top of the store. More shopping in a 18th century 'mall'. We took the train across France to Frankfurt. Amazing countryside. We got to see Julius(our former exchange student) and meet his father. Frankfurt was a mix of Old and New. German Bier is still great. It was good to be re-united for a short time. By now we were feeling a little disjoint.  Return to the Trip page.
