Sculpture at the 'Community Built Park' The park planned a solar system exhibit.  Since, there was a left over sculpture from the Sidewalk Solar Sytem, it seemed like a match.  The 'sun' is made from bronze.  It weighs about 165 pounds.  The brown patina had been applied in these photos, but it hadn't been brushed yet, showing bronze highlights.  The sun will be surrounded by 'earths' in different seasons, demonstrating the effect of tilt of the axis on the sun's illumination.
