The Orchid cooperated for the Christmas Season

Ultimate frisbee has been a Sunday standard.  We had enough 'Neely's' on hand to challenge the field.

We  made the annual excursion to cut the Christmas tree.

...and had a great time decorating.

Amber was home from University of Oregon with a boyfriend in tow.

Kaelin, Cindy, Bill, and Amber, ready for the Christmas party.

A few hints to the 'hat check' girls from Bill and Cindy

About 300+ people came this year.

We started with 'chamber music'.  I think this HAD to be the Buffalo's first live classical music.

The main  band, Bad News Blues, was great!

The next day, the "Friends of the Christmas Party' all together for brunch and cleanup.

Cooke's Peak in the distance has always been an inviting challenge.

We made the assent on  Dec. 21.  12 miles and 3000' vertical, and no trails.  This was the start.  We looked a
bit more bedraggled after we got down.

This was lunch, over half way up.  No trails and discussions about the route.

We made it.

Gazing north at the ranch.

Christmas morning...it was a white Christmas.

Nick demonstrating machismo.

The usual Christmas rituals.

Ready for Y2K.  The order of the night was 'vintage' attire.
